Boiler Room
The original boiler room from the ‘30s still provides heat to the entire middle school.
Electrical Wiring
Residential grade wiring is found throughout the middle school. With the increased electrical load from modern computers, printers, and copiers, this wiring is considered unsafe.
Gymnasium
Foundation cracks and leaks in the roof are commonplace in the middle school gymnasium.
Locker Rooms
Leaking Windows Almost all of the middle school windows leak causing water to seep into the dry wall resulting in mold. As a result, recent air quality tests have shown an unacceptable level of carbon dioxide.
Tunnel The tunnel connects the gym, locker rooms, and industrial arts classrooms to the main middle school. It often has standing water and is considered unsafe by many of the students.
